SaskPower has announced their updated Net Metering program, complete with more information on a continuation of the current 20% rebate.
Home and business owners in the province looking to go solar under the new program will now be able to bank and store credits for excess electricity they produce for up to 3 years now, a full 2 years longer than the previous program.
The solar rebate has also been renewable along with this program and will continue to be offered at least through November 30th, 2020. Customers of the utility can apply for the rebate which covers 20% of the full system cost ($0.61 per watt), including installation, up to a total of $20,000.
